遅刻したら、必ずお詫びしますね と日本・シンガポールには当然のことですが、フィリピン・インドネシアとかに渋滞はひどいので、遅刻するのはよくあることです。

What happened? Why were you late?

何が起こった？なぜ遅かった？

郊外でミーティングして、そこでタクシーとユーバーをなかんかつかめません。

I was at a suburb in mornington for a meeting and couldn't get an cab/uber there. 

それとも渋滞は酷かった。

It was horrible. We were caught in a terrible traffic jam.
